Who better to catch the quick moves and sudden spins of host Stephen Colbert? Heck, half the comedy is in the timing of the cuts and cutaways.
2. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Like its counterpart, "the Colbert Report," directing on "The Daily Show" means comic timing. What might look subtle -- a perfectly timed corner graphic with a pithy or punchy title -- is closer to knowing where the think line between funny and awkward lies. Director Chuck O'Neil knows where that is.
