Guide Review - Overview: Larry King Live

Larry King is often viewed as a softball pitcher. His questions are easy, complimentary and rarely to the point. But to dismiss his easy-going style is to dismiss his ability to attract hard to get celebrities and officials and extract headline making information from them.

It is this ability to make his guests comfortable and get them talking that has kept Larry King at the top of his game and in the game for so long.

His format is one-on-one, without an audience, in a stylized head-to-head set (including his trademark microphone). And different from other talk shows, Larry King takes calls from the audience, making his program interactive as well.

Guests run the gamut from Natalie Portman to President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush to the cast of The Andy Griffith Show.
