Starring "Oprah's best friend" and accomplished journalist Gayle King. The show, which debuted on Jan. 3, 2011, on OWN, is a television version of her satellite radio talk show. King chatted up celebrities and interviewed public figures, commenting on current events and pop culture along the way. It almost seemed as though King would take over for Oprah, as she transitioned out of The Oprah Winfrey Show and on to Oprah's Next Chapter, which will follow Oprah on adventures across the world.
But then in November 2011, King announced the end of the television version of The Gayle King Show. King moved on to CBS and The Early Show as co-anchor.
