It's relatively easy to get free tickets to "The Late Late Show with James Corden." You simply need to sign up for an available date and have patience.

The popular late-night CBS show airs on weeknights and is taped earlier that day. It's recorded in Hollywood on a stage at CBS Television City, which is located at 7800 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.

James Corden took over the show in May 2015, replacing Craig Ferguson. The show's line-up includes a great variety of celebrity guests and musicians and Corden is known for his hilarious antics, especially in viral videos like Carpool Karaoke.

How to Score Free Tickets

Obtaining tickets or a reservation is relatively easy. Simply follow these steps:

  1. You can get free tickets by submitting your request online via 1iota, which provides free tickets to talk shows and television programs in Los Angeles.
  2. On the online portal, you’ll be asked to select the day you’d like to attend from the dates listed. Click on a date to get to the online submission form.
  3. Select up to four tickets. You will be asked to register with the 1iota site to claim your tickets if you are selected to be part of the audience.
  4. Fill out your name, age, the number in your party, phone number, email address, and the reason you are interested in being in the studio audience.
  5. Be aware that there is no guaranteed admission to the show. Ticket holders are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. It is best to arrive early rather than right before the show starts. The show usually tapes at 4 p.m.
  6. The show may be canceled for various reasons. If this happens, you will need to start the process over again. Also, guests are always subject to change.

Tips for Your 'Late Late Show' Experience

Talk shows offer free tickets because they like a packed audience. Just because they're free, however, doesn't mean you don't have to "work" for them.

Many people who have attended "The Late Late Show" have shared that you need to be prepared to stand in line, even if you have tickets. You should also arrive early to try to grab a seat and wear comfortable shoes. Be prepared if it's a hot day because the line forms outside (however, it's said that staff provide umbrellas to help keep you cool).

Also, don't be surprised if the staff pulls young, hip people to sit at the front of the audience, either. This is television, after all. Audience members must also adhere to certain rules:

  1. You must be 16 years or older to attend, and you must bring a government photo ID to be admitted.
  2. Consider dressing up a bit, since you might appear on camera. Try to avoid wearing shorts, T-shirts, hats, or white clothing. Blend into the crowd and look nice, but there's no need to go all out. Watch the audience in a few shows and you'll get a good sense of the dress code.
  3. Tickets are non-transferable and may not be sold or auctioned. Do not buy tickets to the show as they probably won't be any good at the door and are just a waste of money.
  4. No one with cell phones, pagers, cameras, sound recorders or other recording devices, luggage, backpacks, or large shopping bags will be admitted to the show.
  5. Audiences are often overbooked. Admission is not guaranteed even though you may have a ticket.
