Jeff Probst, Ricki Lake Cancelled

By February 17, 2013

Follow me on:

One was a good idea. The other a hopeful comeback. But in the end, The Jeff Probst Show and The Ricki Lake Show couldn't garner enough viewers to return for a second season.

Probst received the news on Valentine's Day. CBS Television said "no" to second season of the show. "Unfortunately, the audience isn't there to support a second year," CBS said in a statement.

Host Jeff Probst was said to be "super bummed." He added that he was proud of the show, but disappointed it ended "a decade sooner than we had hoped."

A week earlier, The Ricki Lake Show got the same news. Twentieth Television said, via statement, that it was "simply not able to breakthrough the crowded talk show marketplace."

Host Ricki Lake and her show will continue through September 2013 before bowing out.

This does mean our first prediction of 2013 has occurred, which we called the "Daytime Tipping Point."

By the summer, expect a number of daytime casualties, we said. We think both The Jeff Probst Show and Steve Harvey will be gone by then.

Well, Harvey carries on while Lake is washed away.

I am not one to watch talk shows, at my age , I pretty much know what I like or don’t.
I started watching The Jeff Probst show about 2 months ago. was home from work one day, due to being sick, came across his show and was hooked!
I have it recorded every day, since I am at work when it comes on. It’s the first thing I watch when I get home.
His show is AWESOME. he is AWESOME, For the life of me, I can’t understand why he has been cancelled. This is a HUGE MISTAKE! Just saying!
