Add the Late Show with David Letterman to the list of talk shows embattled Republican candidate Herman Cain will visit on Nov. 18 as he tries to bolster support and steer the conversation away from sexual harassment allegations.
Cain visited Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this week, where he tried to make light of the issue. The next day, Tuesday, Cain denied the accusations.
That evening, talk show host Stephen Colbert poked fun at Cain's visit to Kimmel, at first defending Cain and defiantly writing him a† $10,000 donation check - which, after hearing the detailed accusations from one alleged victim, he tore out of his checkbook and chewed up out of embarrassment.
No word on whether Cain and Letterman will talk about the scandal.† After all, Letterman isn't new to scandal and may be more than happy to stay out of that ballpark.
Then again, Letterman is more than happy to be self-deprecating and often owns his mistakes. So Cain could be in a world of trouble.
