Oprah Winfrey said goodbye to The Oprah Winfrey Show today. But more than that, she goodbye to fans of her show.

The final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show was an intimate affair, with Oprah speaking with her studio audience - and audience that stood in for the millions of fans the show has collected over its 25-year run.

"From you whose names I will never know, I learned what love is. You and this show have been the great love of my life," she said. "Thank you for being as much of a sweet inspiration for me as I tried to be for you. I won't say goodbye. I'll just say until we meet again."

Oprah shared the lessons she's learned and what she hopes she has shared with her viewers.

Now the daytime talk show star will turn her focus to her new cable network, The Oprah Winfrey Network: OWN. And while fans mourn the loss of their afternoon TV talk show, they will get all the Oprah and Oprah inspired and influenced television they can handle.

That includes Oprah's Next Chapter which premieres later in 2011. The show will feature in-depth interviews and once-in-a-lifetime experiences that lead viewers from the ends of the earth to Oprah's own backyard.

Did you watch the final episode? What did you think?
