Sure, it’s a repeat, but we love Michael J. Fox. And his overview of parenthood and outlook on optimism is inspiring.

Fox, best known for his television roles on Family Ties and Spin City, as well as his turn as Marty McFly in the Back to the Future franchise, appears tonight on Late Show with David Letterman.

Speaking of Letterman, the king of late night scored his first weekly total-viewer victory since 2005 over The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Letterman attracted 3.5 million viewers to O’Brien’s 3.3 million, reports Nielsen Media Research.

O’Brien is still pulling in more viewers aged 18 to 34, but that number, along with total viewership, continues to slip since his June 1 debut.
