Step aside, Charlie Brown. There’s a new name in Christmas Specialtown.
Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert is set to star in his own Christmas special, which will air on Comedy Central during the holiday season. It’s title: A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!.
The one hour special, set to air Nov. 23, will feature musical numbers by John Legend, Elvis Costello, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Feist and Daily Show host Jon Stewart. Have no fear. The musical numbers are standards by the stars, but new tunes scribed by Daily Show executive producer David Javerbaum and Fountains of Wayne's bassist Adam Schlesinger.
You’ll be able to pick up a DVD of the show on Nov. 25, the perfect Christmas gift for the Colbert fan at home. The charity Feeding America will benefit from a percentage of the sale.
