Williams Called to the Majors;
Others on Tap for Daytime

Talk-show host Wendy Williams, whose self-titled talk show has been playing a bit in the minor leagues, has been called up to host among the major networks.

The Wendy Williams Show will make its way to national syndication on Fox. She has finished her six-week preview/trial on four Fox-owned stations (in New York, L.A., Dallas and Detroit) shortly.

Other new shows coming to a station near you soon or sometime in 2009 include The Bonnie Hunt Show and talk shows hosted by Oprah’s Dr. Oz, Food Network’s Paula Deen, Leah King of Queens Remini, Valerie Bertinelli and bishop, philanthropist and novelist T.D. Jakes. Note that some of these are “maybes”.
