This Week’s What to Watch

Monday May 26, 2008

With everything in repeats this week – well, many of our favorite shows – it seems fitting to note that I’ll be placing the weekly schedules on hiatus through the Fourth of July. Just want to catch up on some stories, lists, bios and other fun stuff. When you click into the schedules, you’ll find a link to the official show site for lineup information.

But I’ll still start the week with “What to Watch” – with this edition coming a day late!

  • I am Iron Man! Iron Man is a bona fide hit, and it’s star, Robert Downey Jr., is set to have a comeback summer like no other (his comic Tropic Thunder opens later in the season). See him before the Man in the Iron Mask took off Thursday on Late Show with David Letterman.

  • Flashback!: The listing only says The Strike Beard Show, a reference to the beard host Conan O’Brien grew during the Fall’s Writer’s Strike. What could this show bring? Check it out Tuesday onLate Night with Conan O’Brien.

  • Checking Out his New Digs: Come 2009, the NBC late night shuffle will take place, as Jay Leno leaves The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brien steps in to take his place, and Jimmy Fallon slots in as the new leader of Late Night. See Conan check out his new digs about a year early on Friday’s The Tonight Show.

  • Regis Doles Out Idol: If you’re an American Idol fan, you’d best be DVRing Live with Regis and Kelly this week. On Tuesday’s show, winner David Cook stops by. Then, Wednesday, in comes David Archuleta. And finally, on Thursday, fan favorite Syesha Mercado finishes the week.

  • Behind the Scenes at The View: If you caught Monday’s editon of The View, with Ryan Cabrera, Dina and Ali Lohan, you have the rare opportunity to see how it was all put together, as the show goes behind the scenes on Friday’s edition.

Not seeing what you like? Then check out all the other schedules!
