Top Picks: Michael Moore vs. Insurance Lobbyist on Oprah
Regardless of which side of the crashcart you fall on, Wednesday’s Oprah promises to be one of the more confrontational meetings on any talk show this week.
On the program, Oprah will make way for Sicko filmmaker Michael Moore and one of the health insurance industry’s star lobbyists, who will debate the state of healthcare in America.
But if political debate – if that’s what you want to call it – isn’t your cup of tea, try any of these suggestions:
- Monday: Will Craig Ferguson ask 50 Cent if he really will retire, after his recent “loss” to Kanye West, with respect to record sales? Tune into the Late, Late Show to find out. Want Kanye’s take? Tune into Jimmy Kimmel Live.
- Tuesday: Mother, actress and former Playboy model Jenny McCarthy drops by The View.
- Wednesday: Kelsey Grammer drops by Rachael Ray’s place to see what’s cooking and to discuss his new FOX sit-com.
- Thursday: Whoopi Goldberg, The View’s newest co-host and moderator, stops by the Late Show to talk shop with David Letterman. And Ben Stiller drops by The Tonight Show. Of interest, Stiller’s personal and professional relationship with Owen Wilson, one of our favorite comic actors, who recently went through a heart-breaking personal trauma.
- Friday: She’s one of the most talented women on the planet. Queen Latifah chats with Ellen.
Don’t forget: Presidential candidates are still making the rounds. Find out where you can see Sen. Joe Biden and Sen. Barak Obama this week in our 2008 Presidential Nominees on Talk Shows – Appearance Schedule.
