One week ago Friday, Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts underwent breast cancer surgery. By Monday, she will be back behind the desk and next to co-anchor Diane Sawyer.
It’s a quick recovery, and underscores the ability to treat and recuperate from breast cancer if the disease is caught early.
The newswoman, who discovered the cancer during a self-examination, said she is feeling great and ready to return to work. Sawyer, Roberts reports in post on ABC News’ web site, was there in the recovery room after the surgery.
