A Star is Reborn: Jones’ Talk Show Debuts in August
Well, one former View co-host is about to reappear on our TV screens – and it’s not Rosie O’Donnell.
Star Jones’ (when did the ‘Reynolds’ go away?) new talk show, creatively titled Star Jones, will debut on CourtTV August 20. The show will feature much of what we’re used to as talk show fans – a couch, a chair, a desk and comfy chat.
The twist? Jones will place her guests on the witness stand and interrogate them. And by interrogate, I mean – I mean, I don’t know what I mean. I’m going to guess that it will be similar to The Daily Show’s hot seat, in which Jon Stewart’s guests are jokingly tossed tough questions.
Jones departed The View last summer under a cloud of controversy and several television appearances to argue her case. She’s back a year later, looking sleek and svelte and saying she spent the year getting to know herself. She taught a civics class in an East Harlem school, she got to know her producers, and has been working since at least early 2007 (maybe even late 2006) developing her new program.
No word yet on who her first guests will be, other than who those guests might be, via CourtTV’s press release: “She will interview some of the most influential newsmakers involved in high-profile cases while offering a multi-dimensional look at each story. She will empower viewers by asking the questions everyone wants to ask and get the answers everyone wants to know.”

When the “View fired Star Jones, Her last day on the show, was my last day to watch it. They made a BIG misake when they TRIED to replace her with Rosie O’Donnell. I don’t care for her style. She tries to HOG the stage and her opinion is the only one that counts!! Maybe they can lure me back with Whoppee.
Why do everyone feel that star has to let the world know her personal business,why can’t she keep something to her.i am tried of fan thinking that we should know every personal detail of their life,,she lose weight and looks good how she did it really is none of our business.and the presser for her to tell to me was not fair.and now it good rating to have put on the spot and explain why she did not want to tell,,I enjoy watchering her and she is very smart,Please stop pressering her about her personal life that she wants to keep to herself..
