Adam Sandler Saves Late Show
These days it seems like I'm writing the same story, only with different names.
When you tune in to the Late Show tonight, don't be surprised to see Adam Sandler take the stage instead of David Letterman. It turns out Dave got hit with the stomach flu this morning and had to forgo hosting duties.
But in the spirit of the show must go on, Sandler, one of the evening's guests, stepped up and took the reins. The show tapes in the late afternoon.
In the last week, three talk show hosts have been struck with illness or other health problems. Regis Philbin underwent triple by-pass surgery, Larry King underwent vascular surgery, and now Dave was knocked out by the bug.
Dave will be back tomorrow night, however. He taped Wednesday's program earlier in the week. And March Madness pre-empts the program on Thursday and Friday.
Joining Sandler on tonight's show will be Danica Patrick and Lucinda Williams.
