Jon Stewart Invades the Buckeye State

Monday October 30, 2006

Ever had vertigo? It’s awful.

A middle ear infection knocked the balance clean out of me over the weekend, and the medication the doctor provided only made matters worse. I don’t know why the healing power of medicine always has to include a heavy dose of drowsiness and nausea.

What that means to you, gentle reader, is a hiccup in my posting this week’s talk show schedules and a hiccup in blog posting. And I’ve plenty to blog on.

(Also a hiccup in publishing the newsletter, which I’ve just tried to edit and discovered that I’ve missed my opportunity … it is signed, sealed and delivered!)

But let me give you a quick head’s up on what to watch this week. With the elections just a week (and a day) away, you know the show to watch is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

This week, the show is broadcasting from my home state of Ohio, about two and a half hours away in beautiful Columbus. It’s the show’s “Midterm Midtacular” – and it’s bound to be a blast – in a Buckeye sort of way.

Tonight’s featured guest is Cleveland Cavalier LeBron James, heir apparent to Michael Jordan. Tomorrow’s guest isn’t announced, but if they’re still searching, might I suggest either Congressman Dennis Kucinich or Senator George Voinovich?

Better still, former Senator John Glenn. Now there’s an Ohioan worth talking to.

Schedules and “what to watch” coming tonight!
