Because of his American Music Award antics on ABC, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert got booted from Jimmy Kimmel Live. This is the second door to be shut on Lambert, after ABC dumped him from an earlier appearance on Good Morning America.

Lambert was to appear on Kimmel Dec. 17.

The trouble stems from on-air antics at the award show. His risqué performance of the song "For Your Entertainment" logged thousands of complaints and the singer - via his Twitter account - blames those cancellations on "FCC heat."

He says he will make an appearance on Jay Leno and hopes to perform on New Year's Rockin' Eve.

It looks like it could be "Good Morning, George," for fans of Good Morning America. George Stephanopoulos, host of ABC's This Week and former White House press secretary for President Bill Clinton, has been offered the role of co-anchor on the No. 2 morning program, according to the Associated Press.

Stephanopoulos would fill Diane Sawyer's role after the host departs GMA for the anchor position on ABC's World News. No official word on whether the post has been offered or if Stephanopoulos would want to make the move to New York from Washington, D.C.

Sawyer's World News debut is Dec. 21.

Fans of Chelsea Handler might be surprised to find the late night talk show host adorning the cover of December's Playboy magazine. The comedian, along with her sidekick Chuy Bravo, delivers her "Guide to the Holidays" in the issue.

But no worries, Handler-philes. Our host doesn't turn up naked, nude or otherwise unclothed. It's all about the laugh this time out.

She recently told Jay Leno that she trained hard for the photo shoot, even giving up a drinking - "For about a day and a half."
